D.A.R.E. Graduation

Anuhea has participated in the D.A.R.E. program at school for 10 weeks. For those of you who didn't know, or forgot, D.A.R.E. stands for Drug Abuse Resistance Education. Today the 5th graders had their D.A.R.E. graduation. Jason and I were able to attend. Anuhea was very excited about it, especially that they were going to participate in fun activities after the graduation.

Mother's Day Lunch

May 10, 2008 Saturday

We went to lunch for Mother's Day at a mexican restaurant called El Potro. The food was okay, but I was satisfied because I've been wanting mexican food. I ordered a dish that came with a taco, an enchilada, and spanish rice. Mmm.

Science Fair

May 8, 2008

Anuhea worked on a science fair project involving frozen liquids. She wanted to find out which of 4 frozen liquids would stay frozen the longest. Tonight we went to the school to see all of the 5th grade science boards. It was very interesting to see what some of the students researched and their results. All or almost all of the other classes in the school did a project as a class too.

Here are some pictures.

This is the project Hokulani's class did. They wanted to find out which color M&M would be found most in a bag. The result was more GREEN M&Ms.

Mother's Day

My family and I went out to lunch on Saturday at El Potro Mexican Restaurant. I had a taco & an enchilada and was very happy because I had been craving mexican food.

On Sunday, Nalani and Hokulani made cinnamon toast for my breakfast (with a little persuasion). Jason made seafood alfredo (with linguine noodles) for dinner and it was delicious! Anuhea made brownies and they were also delicious! Mmmmm!
