Rainbow

July 24, 2008

It's not too often that we get to see a rainbow, especially not a full one. We were out grocery shopping and saw this rainbow.

The picture is not too clear because the rainbow was too far away for the camera. Hopefully you can still see it.

The Chen Girls

Jason often takes the girls out in the morning to walk around the neighborhood or to run at the elementary school. On July 26th they also took Leiohu with them (in the stroller) so mommy could get a little more sleep.

In this picture they're across the street from our house. (Thank goodness, because our neighbor's yard looks better than ours.)

More pictures of Leiohu

Anuhea has been having fun with the camera. She loves taking pictures of Leiohu. Sometimes she'll take pictures of other things too. For now, we're sharing pictures of Leiohu with occasional appearances by her sisters and her father.

Leiohu enjoys her bath a little more these days.

Leiohu likes to put her arm over or under her face when she sleeps.

She's awake in her car seat. . .and happy!

Leiohu is sitting with assistance.

Leiohu was getting hungry while mommy tried to hurry and finish her food. Anuhea's hand tastes good. :)

Nalani and Hokulani can enjoy books AND take care of Leiohu. Leiohu's sleeping on Nalani.

Sleepyhead on the couch:

Jason enjoys some daddy-daughter time with Leiohu:

Is that a smile? Well, not quite, but Leiohu still looks happy.

Leiohu in her crib:

Hokulani likes holding Leiohu as long as Leiohu's not crying, because Hokulani isn't allowed to stand up while holding Leiohu.

The four beautiful troubles: (left to right) Nalani, Hokulani, Leiohu, and Anuhea

Leiohu often sleeps in the bassinet of her play yard so we don't have to take her all the way to the bedroom (like it's so far in our small house).

Dinner with the Littles

Jason came home early from church yesterday so he could help me with baby. I don't really need help, but it was nice to have him home so I could finish preparing some things for dinner and rest before having to feed Leiohu again.

Kyle and Melissa Little brought the children home after church. It was POURING RAIN, but they made it when the rain was lighter. Jason invited Kyle and Melissa to have dinner with us--a last minute invitation--and they accepted.

We had BBQ pork ribs, rice, baked beans, canned corn, soybeans, and juice. We had brownies with butterscotch chips, white chocolate chips, and marshmallows for dessert (and ice cream for some people).

The Littles stayed to read scriptures with the family, but I was in the bedroom feeding Leiohu.

Dinner at UCF

July 24, 2008

We went to UCF to eat in the cafeteria again. This time we had dinner with the Caldwell family. It was nice to visit with them and to be able to eat all of the different things that were offered this time. Unfortunately, there were groups of young people who were visiting, I guess, so it was CROWDED. Luckily, we were still able to get food without too much difficulty.

Before we went to the cafeteria we went to the gym to see where Jason goes almost every day to exercise. It's nice and they have a lot of equipment. IF I liked to exercise, then I would like to go to a place like that.
