It was tropical (or Hawaiian) day for the Kindergarteners. Hokulani's wearing her Hawaiian dress and a shell lei. She got a birthday crown from her teacher, Mrs. Pate.
I helped the girls make Princess necklaces and rings with foam pieces from the craft store. They were very excited to make their own necklaces. Jason had to help them with the rings later because I was busy tying the necklaces together.
In this picture, the girls are (clockwise, starting from the girl next to Carmel): Madison Bogert, Martyna Wilson, Allison Archer, Riley Smith, Krylissa Caldwell, Sophia Scott, Christina Lipsey, Anna Huss, and (of course) Hokulani Chen.
Here, the girls are waiting to get the pieces they need to make their necklaces.
Everybody's busy working. . .
Jason took pictures in the classroom. Here are some of the boys. From the bottom left (the boy with the white shirt) and going clockwise, they are: Dylan Davis, Sam Jones, Sammy Hernandez, Julian Martinez, and Clayton Decowski.
Here are the rest of the boys, starting from the yellow shirt: Kasey Fredrick, Devan Drohan, Zachary Shoppe, and Alec Aponte.
Mrs. Pate helped the boys make animal clothespin magnets. They were very excited to make the magnets, especially when I told them they could put it on the refrigerator to hang up their drawings or pictures.
We left snack for the children to have later in the afternoon. This is a picture of the party plate. Hokulani likes Strawberry Shortcake.
Hokulani and Nalani helped Mommy make sugar cookies for Hokulani's class. We had some extra for us too. We used a cookie press and got some fancy cookies. Here is a picture of some of them:
