Our ward (for church) had a trunk-or-treat activity tonight at the ward building. It was a lot of fun, but it was SO cold. Jason needed to do some school work so he went to his office at school. The children and I went to the activity. Sorry, but I don't have any pictures from the activity because the camera was having a problem that evening.
Nalani helped me decorate the back of our minivan. We used the soft white stuff stores sell to make spiderwebs spread across the space. Then we put a big spider in the middle of it that we made out of a foam ball and pipe cleaners. We also had those little spider rings that we stuck into the web.
- While we (and other members) decorated our trunks, the children could decorate paper bags to use as their treat bags if they didn't already have one.
- Trunk-or-treat began. I passed out candy and the children went around to all the other vehicles to get candy. A lot of people showed up to the activity and decorated their trunks.
- After the trunk-or-treat part of the activity was over, there were other activities to participate in. Some people carved pumpkins and they were judged.
- We could go to another area of the parking lot where there was a stove-like fire pit for roasting marshmallows. Many people gravitated to the fire to keep warm.
- There was also a "hay ride" on a trailer pulled by a truck. It was fun, but the exhaust from the truck wasn't good.
